This position is for an experienced Process Improvement chemical engineer in the Methanolysis Process Development group within the Plastics & Circular Development Division (PCDD) in Technology. This role will be supporting the Methanolysis area with a focus on driving various initiatives to ensure we operate our plants safely, we deliver a quality product to our customer base, and we optimize the reliability, productivity, and cost of our manufacturing assets.

  

Responsibilities

 

Demonstrating safety leadership by identifying and resolving hazards, partnering with operations to complete PHA-required actions, and participating in Actively Caring Talk (ACT) interactions.  Supporting manufacturing by providing timely assistance to resolve production processing problems.  In this role, candidates may be required to work non-standard hours or shift work. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet operational needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Partnering with colleagues as part of cross-functional teams including technology, manufacturing, businesses, HSES, Engineering and other functions to drive process improvements and business initiatives. Providing timely communications to management and project stakeholders by communicating project needs, value, priorities and decisions to ensure project success. Serve as division rep for capital projects. Developing and implementing process improvement projects to increase capacity, improve process control, reduce costs, improve yield, and improve safety. Qualifications  Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university 3+ years of direct manufacturing support required 5+ years of experience preferred Ability to make decisions with limited information Familiarity with industrial plant environments and equipment is required High level of adaptability Must be a self-starter with a focus on results. Ability to lead and drive challenging projects forward despite uncertainties Confident in working within a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders Comfortable challenging peers and supervision to develop creative solutions Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills
