Chemical / Lab Custodian (4/10, 1st Shift)
Job Title: Inventory Management Support B (4/10, 1st Shift) Job Code: 20828 Job Location: Malabar, FL Job Description: Manages, coordinates, and monitors chemicals on the production floor to ensure all products are in-date and meet min/max levels. Develops and implements min/max levels of chemicals in critical airborne production areas, coordinating with planning and manufacturing. Completes lab audits for shelf-life and in-date chemicals. Tracks, inputs, and manages additions of chemicals to cabinets. Reviews utilization of chemicals in cabinets and reports status to management. May fulfill lab custodian and general / holistic lab audit requirements as assigned. Additional repsonsibilities include administrative support for office, locker, and cabinet assignments across Malabar, FL. Essential Functions: + Inputs chemical information into Shelf-Life tool for all new chemicals. + Receives, tracks, and manages chemical usage and disposition. + Monitor min/max levels of chemicals, coordinating with operations to set guidelines. + Fill/replenish process equipment with chemicals/hazmat as required. + Follow haz comm labeling requirements. + Ensure proper marking/labeling of all chemical and hazardous waste containers. + Lab Custodian duties as required, including monthly lab custodian checklist completion. + Administrative tasking may be assigned, including assignment of office, locker, and chemical lockers to support manufacturing. Qualifications: + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: + Working knowledge of inventory management and best practices. + Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel, SharePoint, Powerpoint, and Word. + Must possess strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail. + Strong communication skills – written and verbal. + Experience with chemicals or haz waste. + Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently. + Knowledge of MRP/ERP and advance planning tools.
