You will perform standard laboratory tasks and maintenance in a plant chemistry lab space while working among a team of operators, engineers, and scientists. You will be involved in preparing materials and equipment for experiments, as well as assisting with data collection. The ideal candidate works well in a team, follows detailed instructions carefully and safely, and asks questions when anything is unclear. Responsibilities + Weighing and pouring large quantities of solids and liquids. + Safely operating balances, pH meters, and ICP. + Safely performing acid/base chemistry by following SOPs. + Gathering and recording data into a lab notebook and/or Microsoft Office applications. + Clearly communicating methods used and tasks accomplished. + Sampling incoming raw materials and preparing those samples for testing. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The position involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving materials, and requires the ability to work long shifts. This role is slated until February, with the potential to be extended or become long-term based on company needs.
