We’re hiring for chemical legislation professional join our Regulatory Affairs & Stewardship team!

We are seeking a chemical legislation professional with 3-5 years of experience and strong knowledge of key EMEA regulations and regulatory frameworks for chemicals, such as REACH, CLP, BPR, Pesticides. Awareness of broader future policies such as the Chemical Strategy for Sustainability is also essential. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of characterising chemicals for their intrinsic hazards (e.g. (eco)toxicity and physical hazards) and how to notify this information under CLP to ECHA and other competent authorities in Turkey and UK for example.

Role Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will hold a recognised degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, with an additional relevant recognised post-graduate degree being an advantage. A minimum of three years’ experience in working with EMEA chemical legislation, in particular CLP, and proficiency with tools such as IULCID and SAP (EHS product Safety Module and Property Tree/Data Model) is required.

Specifications – skills/qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of using IUCLID to submit CLP notifications and Poison Centre Notifications.

Proficiency in using SAP for internal data management related to chemical usage.

Knowledge of chemical risk assessment and risk management methods pertinent to the EU REACH Regulation and CLP, potentially gained through technical experience in a regulated industry sector.

Understanding of how policy initiatives for industrial chemicals in the EMEA regions may impact the agrochemical sector and outline these in impact assessment using SAP.

Ability to analyze a variety of technical and scientific documentation, maintaining attention to detail while understanding the broader context to find optimal solutions.

Ability to work independently and develop effective relationships with others to achieve the best outcomes, with an aptitude for motivating and mentoring.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:

3-5 years of experience and strong knowledge of key EMEA regulations and regulatory frameworks for chemicals, such as REACH, CLP, BPR, Pesticides.

Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering field preferably Chemical/ Drug Regulatory or Bachelors in Science/Masters in Science (BSc, MSc) Chemistry, Biology, agriculture or Bachelors in Pharma/Masters in Pharma (B Pharm, M Pharm)

Experience in SAP is mandatory.
