Job Description:

Permatex is currently looking for a Chemical Mixer to join our 2nd shift team. 2nd Shift hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Pay Rate: $24 - $27 depending on experience. You will also receive a $.50/hour shift differential for 2nd shift.

BASIC FUNCTION

To perform data entry and administrative duties to support the operations of the Manufacturing department.

JOB DUTIES

Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and add chemical raw materials manually or automaticallyManufacture material according to batch cards and mixing work instructions using computer softwareUnderstanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Perform routine batch quality checksSanitizes mixing equipment per work instructions at scheduled intervalsMonitors integrity of mixes and shuts down operation if out of complianceAssists in training of new mixers and assists other lines as neededPromotes and follows all safety guidelines and proceduresRecommends safety improvements as neededPerforms various other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED required3-4 years of batch mixing experience in hand cleaner or related industryMust be computer literateMust be certified to drive all types of lift trucks: low-lift, fork-lift, high-liftMust be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
