Job Title: Chemical OperatorJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Operator who can work independently and with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal communication skills, be able to develop and understand policies and procedures, and effectively plan and prioritize activities to meet business objectives. You will also be responsible for managing safe systems of work and creating clear and effective reports.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, monitor, interpret, and understand policies and procedures to ensure they align with organizational strategies and objectives.
+ Plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
+ Manage and apply safe systems of work under supervision.
+ Develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
+ Review and create relevant, lucid, and effective reports.
+ Motivate employees to learn, grow, and develop to help the organization reach its goals.
+ Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risks in a production process.
+ Achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and operations.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in microbiology, environmental monitoring, assay, quality control, and batch making.
+ Ability to operate basic equipment and carry out routine tasks.
+ Follow strict, detailed instructions for operational tasks.
+ Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and appliances.
+ Support the quality function by adhering to strict quality standards.
+ Follow basic mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Secondary / Intermediate education (2 GCSE).
+ Ability to work within given settings or parameters.
+ Experience in a pharmaceutical lab with a clean room environment is preferred.
Work Environment
The position is based in a pharmaceutical lab with a clean room environment. The shift is a rotating day/night schedule with the expectation for weekend and holiday work, averaging 40-44 hours per week. Initially, the work will be straight days (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) for the first few weeks until general training is completed. Thereafter, the shift will alternate quarterly between days and nights. A general physical and fit testing are required. The company is known for its commitment to cross-training and promoting within, and it has a strong policy against layoffs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
