Compensation: $115K/yearLocation: Pasadena, TXWork Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+Duration: Direct HireBenefits: Comprehensive benefits provided by Client Responsibilities Provide safety leadership and be a safety culture role model for 24/7 operating unit personnelEnsure safety procedure adherence establishing a proactive safety culture within the production unitPrepare and facilitate plant-wide safety meetingEnsure operating permits, rules and regulations are complied withProvides training and daily guidance, maintain operating procedures, and update training materials, and ensure personnel training requirement/documentation are currentResponsible for labor productivity and efficiency, employee retention, adherence to labor contract, and employee relationsResponsible for inventory management and customer satisfactionFocuses on continuous improvement, cost advantage initiatives, and process enhancementsAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving problemsWork with Maintenance and Project Engineering to maintain and improve equipment and unitStrict adherence process change procedures to ensure documentation of all changes in the area and follow up to ensure closure of these documents upon completion of the change Qualifications Bacherlor's degree in Chemical Engineering.  Minimum 7 years’ experience in Chemical Plant Manufacturing.  Minimum 3 years’ supervisor experienceActual experience in the operating unitsSupervised a minimum of 5 wage roll production employeesEffective leadership skills and the ability to work productively in a cross functional team environmentAnalytical Skills - Use thinking and reasoning to solve a problemInnovative - Look beyond the standard solutionsProblem Solving - Find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problemsSafety Awareness - Identify and correct conditions that affect safety and environmentAccountability - Accept responsibility and account for his/her actionsCommunication - Communicate clearly and conciselyInterpersonal - Interact well with technical and non-technical individuals and departments
