Overview
A Chemical Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining strict safety standards, by managing a team of operators, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and actively promoting a culture of safety within the plant.

Responsibilities
+ Safety Management:
+ Enforcing all safety protocols and procedures, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
+ Investigating safety incidents and implementing corrective actions.
+ Conducting regular safety training and drills for staff.
+ Monitoring hazardous materials handling and storage.
+ Production Oversight:
+ Scheduling and assigning tasks to operators to optimize production efficiency.
+ Monitoring production processes through data analysis and equipment readings.
+ Identifying and resolving production issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
+ Ensuring quality control standards are met by conducting regular product inspections.
+ Team Leadership:
+ Providing guidance and coaching to operators on best practices.
+ Addressing performance issues and providing feedback to team members.
+ Managing staff schedules and assigning shifts.
+ Fostering a positive team environment and promoting collaboration.
+ Maintenance and Compliance:
+ Coordinating routine maintenance activities on plant equipment.
+ Identifying and reporting necessary repairs to maintenance teams.
+ Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
+ Maintaining accurate documentation and records of production activities.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
+ 3-5 years experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, ideally in a supervisory role.
+ Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical data and production reports.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with operators, maintenance teams, and management.
+ It is important to be able to effectively manage, lead, and motivate a diverse team of employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
