A Chemical Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining strict safety standards, by managing a team of operators, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and actively promoting a culture of safety within the plant.

Responsibilities Safety Management:Enforcing all safety protocols and procedures, including proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Investigating safety incidents and implementing corrective actions. Conducting regular safety training and drills for staff. Monitoring hazardous materials handling and storage. Production Oversight:Scheduling and assigning tasks to operators to optimize production efficiency. Monitoring production processes through data analysis and equipment readings. Identifying and resolving production issues, including troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Ensuring quality control standards are met by conducting regular product inspections. Team Leadership:Providing guidance and coaching to operators on best practices. Addressing performance issues and providing feedback to team members. Managing staff schedules and assigning shifts. Fostering a positive team environment and promoting collaboration. Maintenance and Compliance:Coordinating routine maintenance activities on plant equipment. Identifying and reporting necessary repairs to maintenance teams. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and environmental standards. Maintaining accurate documentation and records of production activities.  Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.3-5 years experience in a chemical manufacturing plant, ideally in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret technical data and production reports. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with operators, maintenance teams, and management.It is important to be able to effectively manage, lead, and motivate a diverse team of employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
