Job Description

As a Chemist, you will be integral to the Bioanalytical team, performing biological extractions on various biological samples such as urine, blood, and plasma. You will initially focus on wet lab extractions and then transition to using LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) after 6+ months. The role will eventually include managing robotics for liquid handling and utilizing equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes. Each chemist will be provided with a tablet for using the eWorkbook software.

ResponsibilitiesPerform biological extractions on samples like urine, blood, and plasma.Focus on wet lab extractions initially, transitioning to LC-MS (HPLC-Mass Spec) after 6+ months.Manage robotics for liquid handling.Utilize laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meters, and pipettes.Maintain accurate records using eWorkbook software.Essential SkillsB.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related Life Science degree.1+ year of chemistry experience in school or undergraduate research involving pipettes and solution preparation.0-2 years of industry chemistry lab experience in a GMP environment running HPLC or LC-MS instrumentation.Experience with HPLC, LC-MS, or Mass Spec. (plus)Strong attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsGLP experience is beneficial.Experience in food service, bartending, waitressing, or other client-facing roles.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Strong ownership of work and responsibility for recognizing and correcting errors.Work Environment

The position is set in a lab environment within the Bioanalytical team, consisting of around 100 employees. The work is primarily lab-focused. The role offers extensive training with three sets of trainers and dedicated support to ensure you contribute quickly and effectively. The team values structure, following established tests and protocols, and type A personalities who thrive in organized settings.
