Main Responsibilities
Follow and ensure compliance to local governmental and PPG worldwide EH&S requirements, quality systems, environmental control goals and comply with all PPG Policies. Is responsible for meeting related objectives as appearing in the SEA technical dash board and support to achieve business unit goals.
Ensure a total control of the formula through Management of Change respect and execution using GAOD protocol.
Plan, coordinate, and execute development projects or problem solving on products already commercialized or new products with commercial potential, to meet customer and PPG requirements using established Secure Launch protocols.
Assist the customer in the related process to meet required quality and cost targets by ensuring the effective performance of PPG products through problem solving, and process improvement suggestions and develop more robust products.
Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge about products, processes, equipment, specification and test procedures, in order to achieve the expected high level of performance of PPG products through global networking with PPG technical organization.
Provide an atmosphere that fosters new ideas and teamwork that focuses on improved productivity and value to the customer.
Support line trials for the introduction of new / localized products to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations.
Have responsibility for lab chemical management inventory / 5S / Safety and to transfer and localize related PPG technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or equivalent with a chemistry major or scientific knowledge within a specified discipline
1-3 years’ experience in the surface coatings industry gained in product development and technical service
Paint technology
Presentation & Report writing skills
Problem solving approach
Time Management
Experimental Design capability
Fluent in English.
Knowledge of chemical management /5S /safety.
