As a Chemist I - Grade 15 - Shift 1, you will have the ground breaking opportunity to work with powerful technologies and collaborate with an exceptionally versatile team. What you'll be doingPrepare and submit accurate and timely analysis reports for all laboratory work.Prepare and standardize solutions as per established procedures.Practice accurate laboratory housekeeping procedures strictly in line with GLPs.Conduct analytical testing and release of raw materials and packaging components as required.Conduct all assigned tasks safely and in compliance with Test methods, SOP requirements, SDS handling and precautions, Federal and state legislated requirements, and Company safety rules and policies.Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and electronic devices, demonstrating proficiency and care.Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to determine and resolve issues effectively.Engage in technical writing and reporting to document findings and processes clearly.Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support laboratory operations.Interpret and convert units of measure such as temperature, pressure, flow, area, mass, distance, and volume accurately.Perform mathematical reasoning tasks, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations, applying calculators and other electronic equipment as necessary.Follow written procedures and/or verbal instructions communicated via telephone, fax, and other means of communication.Develop proficiencies as an Individual Contributor Level I, including timely decision-making, information skills, and technical learning.What you'll bringBachelor's Degree in Science with a focus on Chemistry.Zero (0) to one (1) year of relevant experience.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to read and understand both languages.Join our dedicated team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation and be part of our mission to improve healthcare outcomes for patients worldwide.
