As a Chemist II with Veralto, you will assist in the development, testing, and evaluation of next-generation water quality analysis methods, instrumentation, and product applications. While primarily working independently with minimal supervision, you will also collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to advance cutting-edge water analytics projects. You will develop methods for analyzing various emerging contaminants like per and poly fluoro alkyl substances (PFAS) and in various water matrices using advanced analytical techniques including Electrochemical techniques. This role involves both hands-on problem-solving and testing of cutting-edge water analysis systems.
Key responsibilities:
Develop new analysis methods for water testing applications, applying broad expertise in analytical techniques, chemical principles, and lab practices with a focus on ElectrochemistryCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to assess new water testing technologies.Conduct laboratory experiments, evaluate technical performance, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.Perform fieldwork related to product development as needed.Plan and manage research projects independently, setting goals and methodologies.Prepare analytical standards, reagents, and samples for water quality analysis instruments.Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting for product evaluations.Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow safety protocols.Assist in translating market insights and customer needs into actionable research projects.Propose innovative solutions to non-standard problemsApply a "fail fast" approach to experimental design.Use statistical analysis and experimental design to improve research outcomes.Review reports written by others.Support and travel to key account and selected field sites to determine market applications and needs.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and WordFollow guidelines such as department policies, hazardous materials regulations and procedures, experimental precedents, and work directions. Recommend changes, exceptions, or adaptations as suitable to improve the safety, effectiveness, and performance of the department or company.Education and Background

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
