Chemistry Laboratory Analyst
Job Title: Chemistry Laboratory AnalystJob Description Work in the Quality Control area of a chemical industry specializing in the production of sodium silicate and its raw materials. As a Chemistry Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the production process through various physical-chemical analyses and monitoring water quality. Responsibilities + Monitor water quality by carrying out pH and chlorine tests. + Monitor the quality of the production process by collecting samples of finished products and conducting physical-chemical analyses such as viscosity, acid-base titration, solids content, pH, conductivity, and density. + Control the specifications of finished products. + Archive reports and analysis documents and monitor results control spreadsheets. + Issue analysis reports. Essential Skills + Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Quality Control area. + Degree in Chemistry. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Strong analytical skills. + Fluency in Spanish. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in customer service. + Ability to perform chlorine tests. Work Environment This role operates in a laboratory setting within a chemical industry. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Initially, you will work in a trailer office as part of the site expansion. There may be opportunities to travel to Brazil for training, but remote training options are also available. You will be the sole lab worker in Charleston, with support from a global network and team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
