The Opportunity:

Avantor is currently looking for a hands-on Chemistry Technician to join the expanding team in Mölndal, Gothenburg. This Chemistry Technician supports scientists active within Chemistry with a focus on handling chemicals. Are you a customer-focused person who likes collaborating with others? This role is a full-time, permanent position, based at our customer site, AstraZeneca, in Mölndal. Working hours: Monday - Friday, start time is between 6:00 - 9:00 and finish time 15:00 - 18:00

The team 

You’ll work in a team of 12 associates of Avantor and get the opportunity to closely collaborate with AstraZeneca as well. The team belongs to our department Lab & Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for 

Education: High school or Bachelor’s degree related to Chemistry

Experience: Hands-on lab experience in Chemistry

Preferred qualifications:

Good knowledge of MS OfficeEffective communication skills in English andCustomer-focused, flexible in changing priorities, and collaborativeHands-on mentality, motivated and communicative

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Assist with sample handling, including weighing and drying of samplesSupport the laboratory with tasks connected to the freeze-drying process.Maintenance of freeze dryersTransfer samples to vials and prepare samples for analysisAssist with ad hoc requests to support the laboratory
