PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for the vaccination process within the hatchery and inventory counts. Perform all duties within company and Federal, State and regulatory agency’s guidelines, policies and procedures, and laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:       

Manage vaccine process through accurately mixing, monitoring of vaccination equipment and keeping accurate inventory records ensuring chicks receive correct dosages as scheduledMonitor chick condition, ensuring chick comfort both inside hatchery and while being transported; correct issues or communicate to appropriate personnel if unable to correct as neededMonitor and help load delivery trucks to ensure correct numbers and flocks are loaded for each farmMaintain cleanliness of lab and chick room, sanitizing after each production run per required standards; assist with fogging and disinfectionMonitor laborers to ensure in proper position and performing tasks accurately as required by managementComplete animal welfare and production documentation, reporting anomalies to appropriate personnelBack-up Embrex Vaccinator as neededPerform additional relevant duties as assigned

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Must have proficient computer and math skillsMust have ability to understand and follow formulaic instructionsAbility to communicate (speak and write) and comprehend (spoken and written) EnglishSelf-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast paced environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detailMust possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
