The Chief Accountant be responsible for the oversight of all accounting processes at the hotel, with main focuses on AR Aging, AP Scanning and Allocating, and General Reconciliation. This person will also supervise other hotel accounting staff.You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with regulations, and the timely preparation of financial reports and monthly journal entries. **This is not your typical career opportunity.  This is the Hyatt Touch** **.** **Key Responsibilities:** + **Financial Management:** Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable. + **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries. + **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors during audits. + **Team Leadership:** Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. + **Internal Controls:** Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. + **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems. Implement best practices for efficiency and effectiveness. + **Financial Analysis:** Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
