We are now looking for a

Chief Accountant

To join our team in Keila, Estonia. As our Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining our accounting processes. You are responsible for organizing our daily accounting and participating in short- and long-term budget planning and monitoring. You will collaborate closely with our HQ in Milan and our compact local team of experienced finance professionals.

Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Management: Organizing and overseeing daily accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.Budget Planning and Monitoring: Participating in both short- and long-term budget planning and keeping a close eye on financial performance.Reporting: Preparing and submitting group and national reports, as well as mandatory statistics.Financial Statements: Crafting the company’s annual financial statements and ensuring their compliance with regulatory standards.System Implementation: Leading the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.Audit Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for auditors and facilitating smooth audit processes.Internal Control: Overseeing internal control procedures and ensuring the integrity of asset accounting.Payroll Management: Handling payroll topics at a reporting level, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

Higher education in accounting, finance or economics.Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company.Knowledge of Tax and Accounting Legislation and Standards.Analytical thinking, ability to work independently, and a solution-oriented mindset.Technical savvy to navigate various systems – SAP is our primary tool.Precision and responsibility in planning work and executing month-end and year-end closing processes.Quick adaptation to changing circumstances and business needs.Fluent verbal and written communication in both Estonian and English.Previous people or project management experience is beneficial.
