Chief Accounting Officer

As thechief accounting officer,you'll lead the company’s accounting organization. In this role, you’ll establish accounting policies and procedures throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. You’ll oversee SEC compliance, statutory financial compliance, and relations with financial regulators and AM Best rating agency. Reporting to the chief finance officer, you'll have ultimate ownership of financial planning, financial systems, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory reporting.

Must-have qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance)CPA requiredTen years of Accounting or Finance experience

Preferred skills

Strong knowledge of all accounting functions, including the preparation of financial reports in accordance with prescribed GAAP and statutory accounting principles Proven leadership experience, establishing strategic direction and providing operational oversightDemonstrated influencing and persuasion skills to achieve desired resultsCapable of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationshipsAbility to lead and mentor staff to achieve tangible business results and outcomes

Compensation

Base: $215,800 – $308,300/yearGainshare bonus up to 120% of your eligible earnings based on company performanceParticipation in our restricted stock units plan
