What You'll Do:

Oversee all aspects of the Accounting department functions. Manage corporate accounting teams which are responsible for all aspects of the Company’s financial accounting including tax, audit, treasury management, construction accounting, and financial reporting. Direct all aspects of accounting operations and oversee all transactions related to general ledger, job costing system, receivables, payables, and financial reporting. Develop, modify and maintain accounting policies, procedures and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with professional accounting standards and best practices. Implement GAAP practices and procedures. Identify, implement, stabilize and optimize systems and software to improve efficiency and reporting. Manage expenses and working capital of the Company. Develop and monitor financial plans and budgets, cash flow management and financial projections. Assist in preparing annual budgets for corporate and divisions and present consolidated forecasts. Oversee and manage financial reporting obligations for lenders and investors. Coordinate preparation of and issue monthly, quarterly and year-end closing schedules and other annual reports. Provide timely financial reports and analyses to executive leadership, including budget and variance reports, cash flow statements, and additional reports regarding analysis of financial information, risk mitigation and audits. Provide strategic consultation and representation to management on financial issues. Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, returns and information. Manage tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes. Maintain and apply systems of internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure legal and fiscal compliance with laws and rules. Partner with banks and outside accounting firms as needed to optimize cash flow and oversee any external agency audits. Direct treasury management activities with multiple financial institutions. Audit monthly financial reports, cost accounting, payable and receivable related issues. Analyze investment and development operations’ financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Supervise account analyses and reconciliations. Lead and develop accounting team members, establishing expectations and success metrics. Any other duties assigned or directed.What You Will Need To Succeed:
B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting, finance or related field. CPA designation. Significant prior work experience in accounting and/or finance. Public accounting experience. Previous work experience in real estate, development, construction or a related field is preferred. SOX compliance experience preferred. Excellent leadership skills and ability to oversee a diverse team of talent with varying skills and abilities. Self-motivated to improve processes and skills on a constant basis - independent, autonomous and entrepreneurial work style. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Attention to detail and problem resolution skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with others – both internally and externally. High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to adapt to change. Strong work ethic Ability to multi-task and change focus quickly to accommodate service needs of associates and/or clients. Ability to work a schedule during normal work hours and that may be other than Monday-Friday, 8-5. Work in excess of 40 hours per week is likely. Consistent, regular and in person attendance during regular working hours at the workplace is required.What You Will Receive:
