The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment with high impact on the business. The Chief Architect is responsible for the consistent architecture and approach for the transformation products in support of digital engineering transformation strategy, vision and goals. This includes but is not limited to the Model Based Digital Thread (MBDT) tool environment, ADSO tools, practices, and program digital engineering transformation engagement services. Preferred staffing Locations are El Segundo, CA, Aurora, CO, and McKinney or Richardson, TX. Open to: Virginia.
Responsibilities Include:
Provides direct technical leadership to the product owners, architects, and engineers assigned to each of the product teams within Infrastructure Transformation.
Assess the enterprise impact to programs and ROI of Infrastructure Transformation capabilities and Services.
Lead the development of models to represent the products and services for the Infrastructure Transformation as well as the organizational architecture for the group.
Creates best practices for systems, product, and organizational architecting for the entire RIS engineering population.
Ensures adherence to best practices for systems, product and organizational architecting and alignment with the Digital Engineering practices and products. Provide technical guidance in a wide area of modern technologies such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile DevSecOps (ADSO), Open Systems Architectures, MagicGrid methodology and other Engineering Transformation pillars as they emerge.
Interfaces with each of the RI&S product line’s technical leadership to identify key product line needs.
Responsible for identifying existing digital engineering capabilities, external to Infrastructure Transformation, that can be matured and integrated into the capability and service offerings.
Work closely with the Digital Engineering organization and Engineering Chief Architect to implement Digital Engineering strategy.
Interface with other Raytheon businesses (RMD, Collins, Pratt) counterparts and collaborate on joint projects, lessons learned, and leverage synergies across all Raytheon Businesses.

Experience working with multi-disciplined teams which are geographically dispersed.
12+ years of systems engineering experience with proficiency in MBSE, MBSE tools and SySML.
Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with the MagicGrid methodology.
Experience with Hardware product development and manufacturing.
Familiarity with DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline.
Defense industry program experience with the understanding of leading development, systems engineering, and testing of complex systems.
Experience with modeling and simulation.
Familiar with Syndeia, DOORS Next Generation, MagicDraw, Cameo, and TestRail.
Experience transforming an organizations tools, process and culture.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Mathematics or related STEM discipline. Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM discipline preferred.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $129,000 to $265,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
