Job Description
The Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel will be a part of the Law Departments senior leadership team. The Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel also will oversee one or more Law Department legal divisions and supervise the Division Chiefs of the divisions that they oversee.
Qualifications
Applicants must be admitted and in good standing with the New York State Bar. Applicants must have substantial experience successfully leading teams of attorneys and support professionals. They also must possess experience with and knowledge of the legal issues that our Divisions manages. Applicants must show a demonstrated commitment to our agency’s values of diversity, equity and inclusion, excellence, dedication, respect, professional development, supportive work environment, teamwork and justice. Applicants should be creative problem-solvers and should be able to demonstrate dedication to growing and developing the skills of all staff members. Excellent communication skills and an ability to strategically plan and address the evolving needs of the Law Department are also important.
