The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is looking for Chief Baker who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. Working in Pastry, Chief Baker reports to Executive Pastry Chef.
The Baker
Prepares all bread and pastry items of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mise en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service. Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop and produce innovative product for each hotel outlet.
What you will do
Prepare bread items according production schedules and banquet event orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
Assist in the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of the outlet, in accordance with corporate F&B guidelines, Hotel F&B standards and financial goals.
Ensures that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
Maximizes employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
Estimates food consumption and purchases or requisitions of food items and kitchen supplies.
Devises special dishes and develops innovative recipes.
What you bring
Minimum five years previous experience in culinary and bakery.
Good communication skill.
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Able to communicate in Japanese and English.
