Chief Broking Officer, Asia
Lead Commercial Risk’s Asia (inc. Greater China) broking function to deliver broking initiatives across the Commercial Risk portfolio in the Asia region. Align with global & APAC Commercial Risk broking strategies in implementation across Asia network offices, recognizing local market nuances. Provide leadership and performance management to the team. Maintain a coordinated broking organization that drives value to clients and leads the industry with innovation and thought leadership using data and analytics to support the strategy. The role will include responsibility for working with various Aon stakeholders to deliver carrier management, yield enhancement, broking standards, and evolving our platform strategy while supporting our overall financial targets for Commercial Risk in Asia. What the day will look like + Maintain key carrier relationships at a senior level and act as an Aon brand ambassador in the market + Establish a core broking community across the Aon Asia geographies where best practices and lessons learned from broking outcomes can be shared between countries to more effectively drive positive trading results + Provide executive sponsorship to colleagues to address major issues with individual carriers + Support colleagues with driving innovative product development including creation of structured portfolio solutions/facilities to differentiate Aon solutions and leverage portfolio efficiencies + Create go-to-market best practices adhering to compliance with regulatory and Aon standards and workflows + Have clear visibility of major renewal and new business pipeline and proactively support colleagues as needed + Share portfolio insights with broking resources across teams, and guide colleagues on strategies to create more optimal market outcomes for Aon + Understand carrier risk appetite across lines of business, customer segments, etc. and work with broking team resources to capitalize on appetites to optimize outcomes for clients and Aon. How this opportunity is different This opportunity will involve working with a number of key stakeholders including the Asia network of CBOs and broking placement colleagues, along with country and sub-region CEO’s. In addition, this role will work closely with colleagues in Commercial Risk regional Specialty, Reinsurance Facultative team, Inpoint and Market Security. Skills and experience that will lead to success + In-depth knowledge of leading placement activities for large and complex programs, ideally with product knowledge across the property and casualty insurance market. + Knowledge and experience of key broking markets, able to identify market trends and create strategies to optimise trends, teamed with strategic business development skills, commercial competence and outstanding negotiation skills + Proven interpersonal skills, capable of working with colleagues across teams and geographies and delivering to client expectations. + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage data & analytics for business success + The ability to communicate across all organisational levels, self-disciplined, with a consistent track record in effective people leadership How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
