Chief - Cardiovascular Anesthesiology
Job Summary St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is recruiting for a full-time Chief of Cardiovascular Anesthesiology in Philadelphia, PA. The Physician Chief of Cardiovascular Anesthesia shall ultimately be responsible for operational, fiscal, and human resource management of the professional staff within the Cardiovascular section of anesthesiology. Position Highlights: Oversee and manage a cardiac anesthesia quality program, develop and/or review cardiac anesthesia pathways. Address intra- and inter-Operational Unit issues as necessary Oversee workforce assessment, planning and provider scheduling. Oversee and manage the Operational Unit's preparation of an annual departmental report for review by the Leadership Council Ensure that all operations within the Operational Unit are consistent with basic organization policies as promulgated and adopted by the Employer, Medical Executive Committee, Leadership Council, and Hospital Assist with monitoring the performance of the Operational Unit throughout the year as compared to budget and analyze budget variances. Collaborate with other Operational Units to ensure the units collectively maximize financial performance while maintaining a position of medical excellence. Participate as requested in the review of the Hospital's compliance with requirements relative to the Graduate Medical Education Program, clinical accreditation bodies, and any other applicable review agencies. Provide leadership and mentoring where needed to professional medical staff within the Operational Unit. Provide both CV anesthesia coverage and general OR coverage as needed at the discretion of the Anesthesia leaders.
