THE WORK:
Ripple is looking to hire a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the Company’s global compliance efforts, which encompass the Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control/Sanctions (BSA/AML/OFAC/Sanctions), Regulatory Licensing, General Compliance, and Privacy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Oversee the BSA/AML/OFAC/Sanctions program to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and consistency globally across Ripple’s regulated entities Serve as Ripple’s Global Head of Sanctions and the Bank Secrecy Act Officer for Ripple Markets DE LLC and such other affiliates as may be necessitated from time to time. Execute Ripple’s licensing strategy, including obtaining and maintaining new crypto registrations and money transmission licenses globally as well as ongoing management of regulatory relationships and examinations. Ensure that Ripple is following applicable general compliance regulations and best practices regarding Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Third-Party Risk Management, and Customer Complaints. Support the development of Ripple’s Privacy program in accordance with applicable regulatory regimes, such as the General Data Protection Regulation. Manage the Compliance team, projecting and implementing resource plans to ensure the Compliance program can be effectively executed Evaluate any new products and services for Compliance risk and ensure implementation of sufficient controls prior to launch Review any changes to compliance and sanctions laws, regulations, and guidance in consultation with regulatory advisors and legal counsel Provide advisory support to Ripple’s Product and Business teams regarding regulatory requirements and risks related to product development and customer onboarding/retention Ensure timely Compliance reporting of key risk and performance indicators to senior management and Ripple Boards. Provide quarterly reporting to the internal oversight committees and Board of Directors Update and ensure enterprise-wide adherence to Ripple’s compliance training program Oversee annual independent and internal program testing Manage ad-hoc Ripple projects as neededWHAT YOU'LL BRING:
15+ years of BSA/AML/OFAC and General Compliance experience at regulated entities. Licensing and Privacy experience is a plus. 5+ years of people management experience Strong demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance regulations and requirements Proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent projects Comfortable providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and training to Compliance team members Strong written and verbal communication skills; at ease communicating and presenting to Senior Management Payments / MSB / fintech experience necessary Must be CAMS-certifiedFor positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. CA Annual Base Salary Range$281,600—$340,000 USD
