We are now looking for a Chief Engineer, Layout to join Metso's Plant Engineering team! In this position, you will lead layout design activities in our global plant delivery projects. You will report into Director, Plant Engineering Layout, Piping & Diagrams department.
This location for this position is Espoo, Finland, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

What you’ll do
Lead plant arrangement (and piping) design in projects Lead project's layout (and piping) team and manage quality, schedule and cost in your discipline Manage subcontracted engineering work Ensure engineering according to Metso's business process and technology requirements Provide support and plant requirements to equipment engineering, other disciplines and procurement Participate in developing Metso's metal refining plants and engineering solutions
Who you are
A degree in technical education (B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc.) 5+ years' experience in Plant engineering or related experience. It is also possible to apply with shorter experience with the potential to grow gradually into a Chief engineer role! Experience in following cad tools; Aveva E3D, PDMS or Microstation 3D is an advantage Proactive, problem-solving mindset Good cooperation skills with a capability to work independently and in a group Fluent in written and verbal English Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites
