Job PurposeThe Principal Engineer will be responsible for the Li-ion engineering needs for Medical cell manufacturing and test, Development of 18650 product line and re-establishing the Space 72 Ah cell manufacturing. Each project has active contracts that need this support. This role will be responsible to develop and execute design planning to meet customer needs and schedules and provide a technical leadership within the team. This includes establishing product and process feasibility, launching new programs, implementing new products and product changes, eliminating engineering issues, implementing corrective action plans to improve products/processes and reducing internal/external costs. The Principal Engineer has a critical role in supporting all phases of product development from proof-of-concept (POC) to a qualified product.
