Chief Engineer

For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM ABM 2025 Employee Benefits (Frontline) (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Frontline\_v2\_English\_9.5.24.pdf) | Programa de Beneficios de ABM (2025) (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Frontline\_Spanish\_v2\_9.5.24.pdf) **Basic Qualifications:** • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience **Position Responsibilities:** • Oversee all aspects of the facility’s critical physical infrastructure • Oversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentation • Supervise and escalate as needed ABM’s response to after-hours emergencies at assigned facilities • Manage the Change Management Program • Manage the MOP, SOP and EOP Program • Audit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports as required at customer request, control system access and user credentials • Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures of assigned contracts • Manage the complete physical assets pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systems • Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the facilities while minimizing risk and business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely manner • Manage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including schedules, new business, projects, budgets, expansion, and staffing • Set, review and approve employee work/PTO schedules; audit and process employee time and payroll • Manage access to the facilities ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularly • Make space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions • Ensure compliance of Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities, review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which could impact customer operations • Ensure that ABM training expectations are met and audit the process monthly • Identify, vet, and approve all sub-contractors who will perform work on-site • Develop PM contract scopes-of-work, ensure contract terms are fulfilled Performs other duties as assigned or requested. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** + Formal knowledge of HVAC Components (VAV’s, Air-Handlers, Pumps, unit ventilators, etc.) + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + As required, highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license + Computer skills and building automation systems experience required. + Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required. + EPA 608 Certified (preferred) Military and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
