In this role, you will be the expert supporting the GRAIL (Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab), a critical testing facility of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon. You will bring your expertise in facility and emulator design fidelity, development and integration of high-fidelity avionic hardware and software, and support engineering flight project schedules, procurement documentation, budgets, and system requirements documents. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** -The Chief Engineer will be the expert supporting the GRAIL (Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab), a critical testing facility of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon. -Chief expertise on facility and emulator design fidelity -Chief expertise on development and integration of high-fidelity avionic hardware and software integration of the lab -Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents -Review integrated analysis of the GRAIL system, hardware and software in relation to other Gateway Systems and the operational environment -Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews -Review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall facility design and performance to inform decision making -Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses with mitigation strategies -Work and present lab fidelity to customers and boards/panels -Perform other duties as required -Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** This position has been posted at multiple levels.
