Here's how a Chief Estimator contributes to our team:

Responsibilities Leads estimating team and collaborates with senior management to drive department success and achieve operational goals. Guides senior management in growing the business in alignment with the division's strategic plan, leveraging competitive intelligence and market trends while ensuring integration with company goals. Leads, mentors, and develops direct and indirect reports by providing supervision, coaching, training, and guidance. ensures meaningful career management discussions take place for all staff. Builds and nurtures strategic relationships with key influencers in the trade contractor, client, and consultant communities. Oversees and supports projects operationally, financially, and allocating resources. Reviews project cost reports for historical information for the relevant disciplines to inform strategic bid-win strategies. Reviews contract documents and specifications to determine project requirements and identify potential risk factors. Monitors client project-specific success criteria (CPSSC), specifically understands owner's business, requirements, and revenue generation, and provide solutions. Completes project cost estimate review and produces a final tender submission for senior management review and approval. Qualifications Post secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline or trade experience or equivalent. Gold Seal certification in estimating required (CDN). 15+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating preferred. Successfully led a highly complex pursuit valued at $250+ million in delivery model hard bid/lump sum, construction management/cost reimbursable/target price, and/or design-build. Expert in various construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, and timelines. Executed multiple jobs as a risk manager or in a position at an equivalent responsibility level in the estimating stream. Led a team of 5-15 direct and indirect reports that could include a combination of students/interns, junior estimators, estimators, and/or senior estimators.
