GILBANE has an immediate opportunity for a Chief Estimator supporting our Federal Business Unit in Concord, CA.

 

Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking a Chief Estimator I that has overall responsibility for administration and execution of all estimating activities for a Business Unit. This role will sit primarily in the office, but may travel to the project job sites meeting with the project teams and subcontractors.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Bachelor in Engineering15-20 years relevant experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceFederal government project experience is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Able to estimate all types of building projects, including residential high rise, healthcare, interiors and institutionalKnowledge of suitable electrical contractors and suppliers for all types of projectsFamiliar with both union and merit shop electrical contractors preferredKnowledge of typical electrical pricing for project types above; for both union and merit shop projects preferredAble to take concept and schematic drawings and develop a meaningful estimate with detailFamiliar with the use of On-Screen Take-off software program preferred

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For California this ranges from $167,400.00-$230,100.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
