Chief Financial Officer Council: Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines Job Location: NC - Raleigh Service Center Salary Range: Not Available Employment Type: Full-Time (Regular) Job #: 8383 Post Date: 9/5/2024 Job Summary The successful candidate will be an experienced, results-driven, strategic partner who is innovative and adaptive. As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a strategic role in the overall leadership of the organization and help guide the council’s direction and strategy. The CFO will drive short and long-term plans and translate the vision and corporate goals set by the council’s Board of Directors into effective operational strategies and actions. The CFO is also responsible for overseeing the council’s 403(b) plan, ensuring that the Plan’s financial records are accurately maintained and that the Plan is operated in accordance with ERISA. Job Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with a preference for a MBA. • A minimum of 8 years proven track record as CFO or Controller with a solid understanding of accounting principles and grants management; within nonprofit preferred. • CPA Certification preferred. • Minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience. • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to analyze facts and statistics, reach objective conclusions, to advise and evaluate. • Must be able to initiate ideas and plans, to stimulate others to action, to organize and carry out a multifaceted workload, to recognize, appreciate, and serve the needs of diverse communities, to be flexible and willing to try ideas and ways of work. • Must believe in the aims and purposes of the Girl Scout movement and be willing to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. • Must maintain an active GSUSA membership.
