Description We are in search of a Chief Financial Officer to join our dynamic team in the metals and mining industry, based in Henderson, Nevada. This role involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring robust internal controls, and assisting the executive team in strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities: • Direct and manage the accounting, purchasing, material control, risk management, and security departments within the company. • Create and provide accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports to assist the President and other executives in their responsibilities. • Lead the development of effective interim reports of financial and non-financial measurements to detect trends, provide forecasts, and make recommendations. • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company such as growth, new markets, potential alliances, employee benefits, retirement plans, and investments. • Oversee the issuance of financial information and report financial results to the management team. • Collaborate with other executives on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation programs. • Direct the month-end closing process ensuring compliance with established schedules. • Monitor cash balances and develop reliable cash flow projections. • Continually improve the timeliness and accuracy of the company's cash flow and management of the billing and collections process. • Analyze capital requests to ensure good utilization of resources and compliance with company capital policies. • Oversee financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations. • Monitor legal issues involving the company, coordinate with outside advisors, legal counsel, financial institutions, auditors, and government contracts. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 15 years of experience in a financial leadership role • Proficiency in MS excel, and SAP. • Demonstrable experience in Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis • Must possess strong strategic and financial planning skills • Proven experience in managing financial strategies and operations • Excellent leadership and team management skills are required • Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial staff and stakeholders • Experience in developing and implementing financial and operational strategies • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions • Must have a strong understanding of financial laws and regulations • Advanced proficiency in financial software and various financial management tools • Excellent skills in risk management and business forecasting • Adept at financial reporting and tax planning.
