Responsibilities

Financial Strategy Leadership:

Has decision making authority and is responsible to the CEO and Board for managing SSOE’s financial strategy, including but not limited to risk position, cash position, forecasting, investment strategy, debt ratio and tax strategy.Responsible for overall financial business analytics and KPIs, focusing on growth projections and future modeling. Interpret KPIs and data to provide Executive Management Team advice on future of the business performance.In conjunction with the CLO, will lead the investment management and oversight of custodian, record keepers, and others regarding profit sharing and 401(k) retirement plans. Conducts financial analysis of the corporation and manages cash flow, balance sheet ratios, and expense budget.Analyzes the firms' tax position throughout the year and plans tax strategy. Advises Executive Management on investments, loans, and tax strategy for short- and long-term financial modeling.Overseas and approves SSOE’s financial auditing.Directs and reviews quarterly reports. Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporations' annual report.

 

Growth and Merger & Acquisition Leadership:

Oversees the financial due diligence of M&A activity.Evaluates the deal structure, ROI, deal financing strategy, stock impact analysis, and is involved in deal negotiations.Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO on both short term and long-term forecasting including investment and/or divestitures strategy.Provide input to new market entry strategies.Provides financial leadership to SSOE’s Corporate Development and Operations teams in support of SSOE’s strategic plan and goals.Works with the VP-Technology To Integrate technology enhancements into the finance function and related business activities

Organization and People Leadership:

Sets financial strategy for SSOE in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors.Serves as a member of the Executive Management Team and as an advisor to the board of directors.Maintains external relationships as banks, investment partners, and accounting firms.Works closely with other Corporate Leaders on expense forecasting to maintain proper overhead position to support the business objectives.Oversees SSOE’s Finance and Accounting global organization consisting of Controllers, Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll.Responsible for ensuring development and succession readiness of the Finance and Accounting function.Lead by example – represent SSOE in the market and local community in adherence to SSOE’s Mission and Vision.Domestic and International travel is required.

 

Qualifications BS/BA in Finance/Accounting; MBA or Master's Degree in related field preferredProfessional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other required. Minimum twelve (12) years direct experience in finance, accounting, or related area, preferably in professional services industry.
