GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job provides supervision of staff and area functions as well as may serve as a physician liaison. This job performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform management responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority.40%
Maintains a quality assurance program according to regulations established by regulatory bodies. Assures completion of all required documentation for quality control and equipment maintenance, procedures, e.g. regulatory, billing, protocol, and image distribution. Maintains ACR certification and registries (if applicable). Implements and educates staff on all imaging institute policies, procedures, guidelines, and quality initiatives for interventional imaging modality.20%
Assists in setting up the interventional suite with appropriate instruments and supplies. 10%
Utilizes proper aseptic techniques and practices standard precautions. Follows policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling. 10%
Assists with preparing, positioning, and draping patients and participates in the interventional space to assure correct patient and surgical site. 10%
Implements radiation safety and patient safety standards and provides technical expertise for development of protocols. Implements and standardizes imaging protocols in coordination with radiation physics and division directors.10%

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Associate’s degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
1 year of experience in Management or leadership role
3 years of prior experience working as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification and Registration (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
CPR – American Heart Association
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Substitutions
Certification from a technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
