JOB SUMMARY

The Blessing Health System Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) will provide clinical leadership for the strategic implementation and optimization of health information technologies to advance exceptional, patient-centered care across Blessing Health System.  As a key clinical leader, the CMIO will report directly to the CMO, but work in collaboration with the CIO and all other key executive and medical staff leaders.  This position will work closely with clinical, information system and administrative teams to align technology solutions with clinical goals, improve data integration and accessibility, and enhance provider and patient experiences.  In addition to these responsibilities, the CMIO will engage in clinical practice, contributing to patient care while maintaining direct insight into clinical workflows and the impact of health IT on front-line care.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

MD or DO degree with active licensure and board certification.  Additional certification or fellowship training in Clinical Informatics is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice.  Some experience in clinical informatics or health information technology leadership is preferred. Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, data analytics, and a solid understanding of data governance, interoperability and cybersecurity principles. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to travel to various health system locations
