Position Summary:
As a member of the Medical Center Hospital’s senior management team, the CMO serves in a strategic, tactical, and operations manner. The CMO serves as a liaison between Hospital administration, the Board of Directors, the Medical Staff, and Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
Qualifications:A. Education:
Medical degree with residency completion. Experience in residency and patient care is preferred.
B. Training and Experience:
Minimum ten years of experience as a proven leader in the medical field. Understanding of community healthcare collaborations; proven ability to work with residency programs.
C. Job Knowledge:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to equitably negotiate issues and remain calm in all circumstances for the ultimate betterment of patient care through the collaboration of the hospital organization and the physician providers.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. May encounter exposure to infectious diseases.
B. Ability to work under stress and in a high-pressure environment.
C.The ability to work independently and multitask.
D. Ability to lift up to twenty pounds.
E. Essential physical requirements include climbing, standing, stooping bending, extended periods of time sitting, and typing.
F. Requires long hours and mental agility.
