Chief Network Development Officer
Chief Network Development Officer Location: West Coast, USA (Pacific Northwest preferred; open to relocation). Remote-based. Occasional travel to the office. Position Type: Full-Time, W2, Non-executive Leadership Reports to: Chief Growth Officer About the Organization: A West Coast based, leading regional health plan, is seeking a Chief Network Development Officer (CNDO) to lead provider network expansion, contracting, and operational transformation. The organization is focused on Medicare Advantage, value-based care, and self-insured markets, with plans to expand its footprint across multiple states, including key West Coast regions. Position Overview: The Chief Network Development Officer (CNDO) will lead the strategic development and management of the Health Plan's provider networks. This executive role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in network development, value-based contracting, and provider relations. The CNDO will drive initiatives to expand the network, enhance provider partnerships, and implement innovative solutions to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes. Key Responsibilities: + Strategic Network Development: Design and execute comprehensive strategies to expand and optimize provider networks across existing and new markets and products, including in Washington, Oregon, Southern California, Montana, and future expansions. + Value-Based Contracting: Lead the development and negotiation of value-based and risk-sharing contracts, fostering collaborative relationships with providers to improve care quality and cost efficiency. + Provider Relations: Cultivate and maintain positive, provider-friendly relationships, ensuring alignment with the Health Plan's culture of collaboration and mutual respect. + Operational Efficiency: Streamline network operations to reduce administrative burdens, enhance provider data management, and improve contract management processes. + Technology Integration: Embrace and implement new technologies to modernize network operations, including provider data management systems and contract automation tools. + Leadership and Collaboration: Provide visionary leadership to the network development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, compliance, and technology, to achieve organizational goals. + Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, particularly in Medicare Advantage and self-insured markets, aligning network strategies with business growth objectives. Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in network development within a provider-sponsored health plan or similar healthcare organization. + Expertise: Demonstrated success in developing and managing provider networks, negotiating value-based contracts, and leading market expansion initiatives. + Skills: Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in leveraging technology to enhance network operations and provider engagement. + Location: West Coast-based preferred, with a slight preference for the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR). Open to candidates willing to relocate; existing local provider relationships are valuable.
