We are currently looking for a Chief of Finance to join our team and rise to the challenge of empowering service. Position Highlights: The Chief of Finance reports to the Executive Administrator, and through the Executive Administrator, to the Executive Committee and International Board, and is responsible for overseeing and directing the finance and accounting functions, auditing, treasury and cash management, purchasing, accounts payable, and pension administration and investment management functions.   What You’ll Do: + Works closely with the Executive Administrator and other administrative officers in association-wide strategic planning and leadership. + Develops and communicates, along with the other administrative officers, a clear statement of the vision and purpose for which Lions Clubs International and Lions Clubs International Foundation exist to all association personnel. + Partners with the other administrative officers in the day-to-day operations of the association in the absence of the Executive Administrator. + Supervises operations, along with the other administrative officers, through interaction with group and division managers to ensure work objectives are achieved, budget constraints are adhered to, and staff is deployed in a manner that is required to meet optimum work standards. + Assists, along with the other administrative officers, all international vice presidents in preparation for role as president. + Supervises, along with the other administrative officers and the group and divisions managers, the development and implementation of association plans and overall strategies for membership development and growth. + Oversees, along with the other administrative officers, the development and implementation of effective administrative relations between the association and districts, clubs, and individual Lions members. + Assists the Board, along with the other administrative officers, in reviewing the strategic plan, providing recommendations relative to specific goals and priorities, and developing corresponding financial plans and policies in support of the strategic plan. + Assumes responsibility, along with the other administrative officers and Human Resources Department, for developing and implementing a plan that ensures a climate that is conducive to effective staff productivity and morale. + Provides financial and monetary supervision and comprehensive financial reporting, including preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, reviewing monthly operating results and preparing detailed executive summaries of financial reports and fund performance for the Executive Committee and Board. + Supervises short- and long-term investments following the policies and procedures established by the International Board of Directors. + Meets with the Finance and Headquarters Operation Committee on a regularly scheduled basis. + Recommends innovations and changes that will lead to the improvement of the budgeting system, treasury management, financial reporting and other fiscal policies (i.e. financial plans and policies, accounting pronouncements, best practices, etc.). + Evaluates the results of internal operations. + Assumes responsibility, along with the other administrative officers, to administer The Retirement Income Plan for Employees of the International Association of Lions Clubs and The International Association of Lions Clubs 401(k) Savings Plan (i.e. retirement plans) to ensure the plans are being administered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the plan documents. + Liaisons with the Finance and Headquarters Operation Committee, Executive Committee and other committees as needed. + Meets with the Audit Committee on a regularly scheduled basis. + Has a direct or indirect relationship with the following: + Through the Executive Administrator to the board. + Club and district officers and members concerning club account, expense claims or other matters. + Pension Plan Actuary. + Group Insurance Carriers. + Pension Plan and 401K investment advisors. + All Association depositaries. + LCI and LCIF investment advisors. + All group, division and department managers and other administrative officers on finance related matters. + Pension and 401K plan carrier representatives. + Finance Committee chairperson and members. + Audit Committee – audit firm and insurance broker. + Assumes responsibility for personal professional growth. + Demonstrates professional ethics. + Complies with federal and state laws and association policies in the effective operation of the association. + Performs other responsibilities as assigned or necessary We’re Looking for Someone With: + Advanced Degree, MBA/CPA preferred, emphasizing the study of organization development, finance, and advanced management or related field or equivalent experience. + Ten plus years of experience in public accounting, international treasury management and investment management or equivalent combination of education and experience + 7-10 years of experience with direct management experience related to: + Financial management + Investment management + Developing organization policies and procedures + Coordination of manpower and financial resources. + Developing a working relationship with officers and members of the total staff of the association + Developing and implementing HR policies and practices Compensation: Exempt position with an annual salary range of $240,000 to $260,000.
