Chief of Party

Overview:

The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for providing the vision and overall leadership to the team; managing the Contractor's technical assistance, training, and overall support; overseeing the evaluation and assessment reports and services produced; and coordinating USAID assistance with key counterparts.  

 

Primary Responsibilities:

The COP will have principal responsibility for overall project management and technical operations to ensure that the project tasks are completed, and the objectives of the project are successfully met. The COP will lead the Contractor's team and serve as the primary point of contact with USAID regarding day-to-day activity implementation and management matters relating to the contract. The COP will have overall responsibility for adequately managing and supervising the work of all personnel under the contract. The COP will manage the preparation and presentation of proposed implementation plans and all reports. High standards of analytical, statistical, leadership, and emotional intelligence/skills are needed for this position. 

 

Education and/or Experience:

Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related field 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management of developmental programs 5+ years of experience related to research, evaluation, statistics and/or monitoring projects related to development 1 year of experience in Latin American social and cultural development context Fluency in spoken and written English is required and proficient in Spanish speaking and writing
