What you do:

Serving as Chief of Staff to the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer (CMSO), the Projects and Strategic Planning Director is central to overseeing, directing and driving projects, initiatives and strategy implementation across all areas of Marketing & Strategy (M&S). Partner with CMSO on development and implementation of division strategy and OKRs aligned to company strategy and growth ambitions, providing trusted insight and counsel on routine and complex matters. Oversee and manage assigned projects and day-to-day functionality of running the business, ensuring timely and effective execution of key priorities. Proactively identify risks and opportunities and take initiative to define and recommend actions using sound judgement and demonstrating independent problem-solving capability.

 

You will report directly to the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and will be a key point of contact and coordination for the M&S Leadership Group (MSLG), as well as cross-functional partners locally and globally. The ability to navigate ambiguity, quickly build relationships and credibility, and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels is critical to success.

 

Primary accountabilities include:

Strategic Planning & Projects: Partner with the CMSO to set direction, define initiatives and OKRs aligned to company goals, support prioritization of actions and manage the operations of the business. Serve as a trusted advisor to CMSO and MSLG, proactively identify risks and opportunities, independently develop and recommend and facilitate decision-making that supports the strategic direction of the Division and Company. Lead assigned projects and initiatives to effective completion, demonstrating independence, drive and change agility. Communication & Coordination: Build and maintain close relationships and connectivity with AZL senior leadership, our business partners and key internal and external stakeholders across the Allianz Group and within the industry. Lead organization and coordination of important meetings and events, such as leadership strategic planning sessions. Develop reports, presentations and communications tailored appropriately to purpose from Executive / Board-level to division-wide audiences. Serve as central point of contact on critical projects and initiatives. Leadership: Manage alignment among MSLG and across business stakeholders, bridging perceived silos and promoting positive business partner relationships including Distribution, P&C, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Information Technology, Operations, Actuarial, Executive Management, Allianz SE and other global colleagues Process & Innovation: Proactively drive innovation in process and execution across our portfolio. Ensure departments and capabilities within the division are fully integrated, unified under shared ambitions and measurable goals, and optimally positioned for end-to-end deployment to position M&S as a centralized driver of growth for the organization.

 

What you bring:

8+ years of experience in Financial Services or related field required Proven ability to flex between strategic thinking and tactical implementation Demonstrated ability to drive tangible outcomes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to design model and processes Ability to effectively consult with and influence every level of the organization Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
