The successful candidate:
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for providing clinical and administrative direction for hospital and cancer care centers [community clinics]. ensures that operations and associated activities of the medical center and cancer care clinics are appropriately integrated with the operating plan and (2) suitable external business opportunities are surfaced and activated.
• Ensures that operational priorities and associate activities are integrated into the regional operating plan.
• Ensures that operational priorities and associate activities are integrated into the regional operating plan.
• Ensures the delivery of high-quality and efficient care and services through the active management of operations of the facilities.
• Drives and participates in the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures that dictate how the care needs of the center’s patient populations are assessed, evaluated. met and improved.
• Participates in design, development and execution of programs, policies, procedures and initiatives that drive patient acquisition and retention.
• Develops and nurtures an environment that implements effective and ongoing programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care and services provided to patients and caregivers.
• Ensures implementation of operational improvements using appropriate data, best practices and benchmarking in conjunction with effective use of process improvement techniques.
• Serves as a key advisor and aid of the President in establishing and executing strategic business plans to achieve operational objectives and in formulating and implementing best practices and policies
• Works in collaboration with the VP of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer to ensure effective clinical operations across all clinical entities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business or related Field. Master's Degree preferred.
7 years' progressive management experience in a hospital environment preferred.
Knowledge of Joint Commission, state and federal guidelines, regulations and standards in healthcare.
Knowledge of nursing systems, quality improvement processes and project mgmt.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
