As Chief Operating Officer for Goodwill Southeast Georgia you create a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, utilizing a highly statistical and data driven approach to solving complex business problems, and process safety management within business segments. You will provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all operating units, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all processes.

Your Impact:
+ Identify opportunities for Goodwill to leverage cross operational strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
+ Lead, coach, and develop Goodwill’s senior management operations’ team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis. process improvement, planning and budgeting.
+ Prepare and submit an annual operational budget for each business segment, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
+ Ensure the continued financial viability of the company’s operational units through sound fiscal management.
+ Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with the CEO and staff. Coach directors as they implement the strategic plan and transition program operations.
+ Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation for each business segment.
+ Responsible for the development of financial management strategy and contributing to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the COO will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures in the operational realms.
+ Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the company’s operational teams.
+ Apply Servant Leadership to fit the unique needs of each individual or situations.
+ Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
+ Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
+ Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
+ Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
+ Contribute to the development of Goodwill’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
+ Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the President/CEO informed of a critical issue.
+ Represent the organization externally, as necessary.
Your Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience in a senior management position. Advanced degree preferred.
+ Proven track record leading dynamic production operations.
+ Deep knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
+ Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to create high-performance teams that develop and implement substantial operational strategies.
+ Proven ability to lead and manage people and situations effectively and consistent with our core values and servant leadership mindset.
+ Extensive experience in managerial finance including operations budgeting, fiscal management, oversight of financial aspects in business segments with multi-million-dollar budgets.
+ Track record of effectively leading an organization with a complex array of business segments with the ability to leverage strengths across areas, excellent project management skills.
+ Detail and performance oriented with a proven ability to manage operations.
+ Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence in her/his work, and has experience of leading and inspiring others to new levels of effectiveness and operational impact.
+ Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
+ Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
+ Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
+ Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and maintain a flexible work schedule.
+ Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
