In addition to the strategic components, the COO will be charged with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies and procedures in the operational realms. + Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the company’s operational teams. + Apply Servant Leadership to fit the unique needs of each individual or situations. + Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. + Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development. + Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments. + Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results. + Contribute to the development of Goodwill’s strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization. + Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the President/CEO informed of a critical issue. + Represent the organization externally, as necessary. Your Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience in a senior management position. Advanced degree preferred. + Proven track record leading dynamic production operations. + Deep knowledge of Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. + Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to create high-performance teams that develop and implement substantial operational strategies. + Proven ability to lead and manage people and situations effectively and consistent with our core values and servant leadership mindset. + Extensive experience in managerial finance including operations budgeting, fiscal management, oversight of financial aspects in business segments with multi-million-dollar budgets. + Track record of effectively leading an organization with a complex array of business segments with the ability to leverage strengths across areas, excellent project management skills. + Detail and performance oriented with a proven ability to manage operations. + Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence in her/his work, and has experience of leading and inspiring others to new levels of effectiveness and operational impact. + Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals. + Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation. + Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills. + Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and maintain a flexible work schedule. + Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed. + Experience working with people with disabilities preferred. + Must have a valid GA driver’s license, valid insurance, ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
