BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As the Chief Photojournalist, you will oversee the photojournalism department. You will lead a team of photojournalists while operating ENG/SNG news gathering equipment. You will need to know how to develop news photographs for video. Your photographers will be prepared and sent out on assignments. You will establish production, technical, and photojournalistic quality standards. You must ensure standards are met and provide editorial comments to photojournalists. You’ll make data-informed decisions about what’s resonating to connect our audience with the stories that matter.

Required Qualifications
Experience:Shooting and editing television news footage experience - 8+ years, microwave truck experienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, related field or comparable television work experienceTechnical skills:Must know how to edit news videoSkills:Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate solutions; ability to relate well with diverse populations and age groupsAbilities: Ability to interface with internal company personnel, requires adaptability, enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to problem solvingTravel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community, must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the State of residenceSchedule: Ability to work various shifts, longer shifts, weekends and holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes due to "breaking news", and/or severe weather emergenciesPreferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position generally is between $86,000.00 and $182,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
