Chief Transformation Officer – Executive Vice President

We are seeking a strategic Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) to apply their knowledge and lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives here at State Street. This executive will be responsible for driving large-scale change, fostering innovation, and ensuring operational excellence to position the company for long-term growth and competitiveness.

The CTO will collaborate closely with the C-suite, business unit leaders, and technology teams to implement technology and operations focused transformation that will emphasis the strategies, optimize business processes, and enhance customer experiences. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in financial services, digital innovation, and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Transformation Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy aligned with the company’s long-term vision and business objectives.Drive innovation and modernization initiatives, including automation, AI, blockchain, and cloud adoption.Lead cultural and organizational change efforts to embed agility, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset.Oversee strategic programs that enhance operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Business Process Optimization

Identify and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiencies, cost reductions that focus and deliver revenue growth.Leverage data analytics and technology to enhance decision-making and streamline workflows.Foster collaboration between business units, Information Technology, Operations and external partners to optimize end-to-end experience.

Customer Experience & Digital Innovation

Champion the digital transformation of customer interactions, ensuring seamless, secure, and personalized experiences.Partner with product, marketing, and technology teams to enhance digital banking, wealth management, and payments solutions.Identify emerging fintech trends and strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s competitive position.

Leadership & Change Management

Serve as a change agent, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Engage and align stakeholders at all levels to ensure successful adoption of transformation initiatives.Build and lead high-performing transformation teams, ensuring the right capabilities and talent development strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

20+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, or technology-driven transformation roles.Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation programs in global organizations.Expertise in digital strategy, innovation, automation, and emerging financial technologies.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and compliance in financial services.Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence and drive change across complex, matrixed organizations.Strong ability to drive measurable performance improvements within a complex local/global organizational environment.

Salary Range:

$300,000 - $412,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
