Job Summary:
Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a Child Care Assistant, where you will play a vital role in nurturing and supervising children in our care. You will be responsible for implementing structured activities and facilitating developmental advancements, all while ensuring a positive and hazard-free atmosphere for the children we serve.
As a Child Care Assistant, you will provide supervision and support to children enrolled in our program, engaging them in interactive play and structured activities. Your role will also involve maintaining open communication with parents and collaborating with the Childcare Lead Teacher and Clinical Staff to address the needs of the children.

Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive environment.
· Facilitate lesson plans and structured activities as directed by the Childcare Lead Teacher or Childcare Director.
· Prepare meals for children according to the menu schedule.
· Maintain open communication with parents regarding their children's daily activities.
· Ensure compliance with child care regulations and agency procedures.
· Conduct daily cleaning chores and maintain a neat classroom environment.
· Report any suspected behavior indicative of abuse to the supervisor immediately.
· Assist in arranging the classroom environment to meet program goals.
· Facilitate emergency drills as needed.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Child Development Associate (CDA) required.
Additional Qualifications:
· Must have the ability to pass a background check (includes fingerprinting) to include criminal history, abuse/neglect, and driving record.
· Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
Physical Requirements:
· ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
· Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
