Responsible for providing a warm, safe and nurturing learning experience for the children at the childcare center while communicating the goals, guidelines and standards of the center. All team members are required to comply, maintain and enforce the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Division of Child Development as well as all Health Department sanitation requirements.

Qualifications Education: High School or GED, required. Credentials or the equivalent to Credentials providing by DHHS Workforce Unit. 6 semester hours in early childhood college work.Experience Preferred: Up to 1 year early childhood work experience with children up to 12 years of age, preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: NC Credentials EDU 119 or equivalency, required. BSAC training for those working with school age children, required. Current Criminal Background letter from DHHS Criminal Records Unit Division of Child Development renewed every 3 years, required. CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire and maintain by expiration date.Additional Skills Required:  Workforce letter or education verificationITS SIDS for teachers who work in classrooms infants up to 2 years of age within two months of hire.Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.CDL required for those working with school age children, if riding or driving the busesAdditional Skills Preferred: Playground safety certification.  Responsibilities
