WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

CHI is looking for a full-time Child Care Worker for our Medford location. You will be responsible for planning and implementing a program to care for young children. You will ensure the development and safety of the children in accordance with relevant federal, and state policies. The ideal applicant is respectful of children and parents and will ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. This is accomplished by performing the following functions:

Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program Provide nutritious snacks and lunches Develop excellent activities, experiences, and programs that are culturally appropriate Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained, and safe Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies Be familiar with emergency procedures Ensure supervision at all times Create experiences and activities for children including songs, games, and story telling Provide opportunities for sleep and rest time Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable Implement positive discipline when required Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress

Salary: $18.00-$37,440.00 Hourly FLSA: Non-exempt. Eligible for overtime. Open shift: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Open shift: Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Location; Medford NY
