Job Summary:  

My client is a family looking for a Housekeeper to work within their warm and friendly household. The family consists of the parents and 2 children (4 and 7) they have a Nanny but someone who is child friendly is needed.

The house is a terraced property and they would be looking for the candidate to do general housekeeping for the family.  The ideal candidate needs to be very thorough with cleaning and organisation within households, they would only be looking to interview candidates who have excellent references from their prior employers within similar positions to this role.

They would love for a discreet personality but someone who is super happy and positive, they would really appreciate someone with flexibility and a muck in attitude.

There is also another property, one of the principal’s parents house, which is a 15 minute walk away from their house, you will be needing to go there occasionally for general upkeep and letting tradesmen into the accommodation.

Job specification:

Cooking for the two principles of the household Dusting surfaces, furniture, light fixtures, and appliances Vacuuming floors, rugs, carpets, sweeping and mopping floors in kitchens, bathrooms, and other high-traffic areas Scrubbing and sanitising toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, mirrors, and floors in bathrooms Wiping down counters, cleaning appliances (microwave, fridge, stove), washing dishes, and cleaning sinks in the kitchen Emptying bins and replacing the liners Changing bed sheets, pillowcases, and other linens Organising and straightening up common areas like living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways Wardrobe management Washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes, linens, and towels Sorting and organising incoming mail and packages, sending back any parcels for the family Running errands such as grocery shopping or picking up dry cleaning Performing minor household repairs or maintenance, like changing light bulbs Keeping track of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and household items Ensuring all areas are clean, sanitized, and free of hazards

Candidate specification:

5 years experience on working with a private household A positive and happy individual Great attention to detail Flexibility with a great muck in attitude Looking for a live in position Background checks and references required

Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
